ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about September 15, 1948, by the Direct Sales Co.,
Inc., from Buffalo, N. Y.
PBODTJCT: 50 250-cc. vials of sodium salicylate and sodium iodide tcith
colchicine at Chattanooga, Tenh.
NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 501 (b), the article purported and
was represented as "Sodium Salicylate and Iodide with Colchicine Ampuls,"
a drug the name of which is recognized in the National Formulary, an official
compendium, and its quality and purity fell below the official standard since
it was contaminated with undissolved material.
DISPOSITION : On or about December 31, 1948. Default decree of condemnation
and destruction.
