ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about February 12, 1948, by the Allen-Growl Co., from Toledo, Ohio. PRODUCT: 66 4-ounce bottles of Quad-Aminos "85" at Oak Park, 111, Exam- ination showed that the product was a partially hydrolyzed protein material. NATURE OF CHARGE: Misbranding, Section 502 (a), the following label state- ments were false and misleading: "Indications: Distemper Recovery, Worm- ing Recovery, Anemia, Delayed Healing, Delayed Clotting, Ulcers, Sores Around Eyes and Mouth due to Nutritional Deficiency, Rheumatic Symptoms, Skin Allergies * * * Pregnancy, Diarrhea, Coats." The statements rep- resented and suggested that the article was effective in the treatment of the conditions named, whereas it was not effective in the treatment of such conditions.
