(Given pursuant to section 4 of the Food and Drugs Act.) ADULTERATION OF DRIED EGGS. On March 25, 1912, the United States Attorney for the Eastern? District of New York, acting upon a report by the Secretary of Agri?? culture, filed in the District Court of the United States for said dis?? trict a libel for the seizure and condemnation of three barrels, each? containing 185 pounds, more or less, of dried eggs, remaining unsold? in the original unbroken packages and in possession of the? French Kreme Co., Bush Docks, Brooklyn, 1ST. Y., alleging that the? product had been shipped, on or about February 17, 1912, and trans?? ported from the State of Texas into the State of New York, and? charging adulteration in violation of the Food and Drugs Act. The? product was labeled: " C. F. Lamont, Brooklyn, N. Y. 185." Adulteration was alleged in the libel for the reason that the product? was in whole or in part filthy, putrid, and decomposed. On April 12, 1912, no claimant having appeared for the property,? judgment of condemnation and forfeiture was entered, and it was? further ordered that the product should be destroyed by the United?
