ADULTERATION OP MILK. On June 29, 1911, John Paul Woods, of Sterling, Va., sold and? delivered at the Union Station, Washington, D. C, a quantity of? milk. The Health Officer of the District of Columbia, acting under? authority of the Secretary of Agriculture, caused a sample from the? above delivery to be procured and analyzed. As the findings of the? analyst and report made indicated that the milk was adulterated? within the meaning of the Food and Drugs Act, the said John Paul? Woods was afforded an opportunity to present to the Health Office? evidence showing any fault or error in the findings of the analyst? or examiner, but he failed to avail himself of the opportunity and? the facts were reported to the United States Attorney for the District? of Columbia. On February 26, 1912, information was filed against the said John? Paul Woods in the Police Court of the District of Columbia, charg?? ing that the milk was adulterated in that it was packed and mixed? with a substance which reduced and lowered its quality, to wit, water.?
