U. S. v. John W. Engle.   Plea of guilty.   Bine, 810.
ADULTERATION OF CREAM.
On March 10, 1913, the United States Attorney for the District 
of Columbia, acting upon a report by the Health Officer of said 
District, authorized by the Secretary of Agriculture, filed in the Police 
Court of said District an information against John W. Engle, of 
Frederick, Md., alleging the sale by said defendant, at the District 
aforesaid, in violation of the Food and Drugs Act, on February 12 
and 14, 1913, of a quantity of cream which was adulterated.
Adulteration of the product was alleged in the information for 
the reason that a valuable constituent thereof, to wit, butter fat, 
had been left out and abstracted in whole or in part.
On March 10, 1913, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the 
information and the court imposed a fine of $10.
