23524. Adulteration of cream.     U.  S. v.  Two  5-Gallon and Two  O-Gallon

On December 15, 1934, the United States attorney for the Eastern District of 
Missouri, acting upon a report by the Secretary of Agriculture, filed in the 
district court a libel praying seizure and condemnation of two 5-gallon and 
two 10-gallon cans of cream at St. Louis, Mo., alleging that the article had 
been shipped in interstate commerce, on or about December 10, 1934, in various 
shipments by Mrs. J. W. Gaither, from Jerseyville, Ill.; E. Faughn, from 
Brookport, Ill.; Delphia Welford, from Humboldt, Tenn.; and Albert Blow, 
from Prairie Du Rocher, Ill.; and charging adulteration in violation of the 
Food and Drugs Act.
The article was alleged to be adulterated in that it was moldy, rancid, putrid, 
filthy, and decomposed.
On December 15, 1934, Paul A. Schulze Co., St. Louis, Mo., claimant, having 
consented to the destruction of the product, judgment was entered ordering that 
it be destroyed.
