On February 15, 16, and 18, 1938, the United States attorneys for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Southern District of New York, acting upon reports by the Secretary of Agriculture, filed in their respective district courts libels praying seizure and condemnation of 129 pounds of crab meat at Phila- delphia, Pa., and 2 barrels of crab meat at New York, N. Y., alleging that the article had been shipped in interstate commerce on or about February 12 and 14, 1938, by Gulf Crest Fisheries Co. from Jacksonville, Fla., and charging adul- teration in violation of the Food and Drugs Act. The article was alleged to be adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a filthy animal substance. On March 5, 11, and 14, 1938, no claimant having appeared, judgments of con- demnation were entered and the product was ordered destroyed. M. L. WILSON, Acting Secretary of Agriculture.
