4. Adulteration of flour. TJ. S. v. 140 Bags of Flour (and 2 other seizure actions against the same product). Default decrees of condemnation and destruc- tion. (F. D. C. Nos. 278, 401, 402. Sample Nos. 60844-D, 61031-D, 61032-D.) On July 10 and August 16, 1939, the United States attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana filed libels against 242 bags of flour at New Orleans, La., alleging that the article had been shipped in interstate commerce by Houston Milling Co. from Houston, Tex., on or about May 24, July 13, and July 20, 1939; and that it was adulterated in that it consisted wholly or in part of a filthy vegetable substance. The article was labeled in part "American Maid." On October 19, 1939, no claimant having appeared, judgments of condemnation were entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
