872. Adulteration of huckleberries. TJ. S. v. 6 Crates of Huckleberries. Default decree of condemnation and destruction. (F. D. C. No. 3040. Sample No. 24480-E.) On September 5, 1940, the United States attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania filed a libel against six crates of huckleberries at Philadelphia, Pa., alleging that the article had been shipped in interstate commerce on or about September 4, 1940, from Hammonton, N. J., by Robert S. Ford; and charging that it was adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a filthy, decomposed,' or putrid vegetable substance. The article was labeled in part: (Tag) "John Stewart Co., has. J. Dougherty, * * * Philadelphia, Pa. Robert S. Ford * * * Hammonton, N: J." On October 2, 1940, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemna- tion was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
