969. Adulteration of flour. U. S. v. 27 Sacks of Flour. Default decree of con¬ demnation and destruction. (F. D. C. No. 2594. Sample No. 15350-E.) On August 16, 1940, the United States attorney for the Eastern District of Ar- kansas filed a libel against 27 sacks of flour at Pine Bluff, Ark., alleging that the article had been shipped in interstate commerce on or about May 18, 1940, by the Larabee Flour Mills Co. from Clinton, Mo.; and charging that it was adul- terated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance and was otherwise unfit for food. It was labeled in part: "Mammy's Pride Fancy Patent Flour." On October 22, 1940, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
