On September 16, 1940, the United States attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee filed an information against the Peter Fox Sons Co., Inc., of Ten- nessee, a corporation, at Nashville, Tenn., alleging shipment on or about September 23, 1939, from the State of Tennessee into the State of New York, of a quantity of frozen mixed eggs that were adulterated in that they consisted in whole and in part of a putrid and decomposed substance. On October 25, 1940, a plea of guilty having been entered on behalf of the defendant, the court imposed a fine of $100.
