1648. Adulteration of turkeys. IT. S. v. 2 Boxes of Turkeys. Default decree of condemnation and destruction. (F. D. C. No. 3425. Sample No. 31223-E.) On November 29, 1940, the United States attorney for the Northern District of Illinois filed a libel against two boxes of dressed turkeys at Chicago, Ill., alleg- ing that the article had been shipped in interstate commerce on or about November 15, 1940, by Paul Glantz from Armour, S. Dak.; and charging that it was adulterated in that it was in whole or in part the product of animals that had died otherwise than by slaughter. On January 28, 1941, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
