On March 21, 1941, the United States attorney for the Northern District of Illinois filed libels against 2 barrels of dressed chickens at Chicago, Ill., alleg- ing that the article had been shipped on September 18, 1940, from Kenosha, Wis., by the John T. Steinmetz Produce Co.; and charging that it was adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a decomposed substance. On May 26, 1941, no claimant having appeared, judgments of condemnation were entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
