1826. Adulteration of pecan pieces. IT. S. v. 16 Boxes of Shelled Peean Pieces. Default decree of condemnation and destruction. (F. D. C. No. 3888. Sample No. 37601-E.) On February 28, 1941, the United States attorney for the Northern District of Georgia filed a libel against 16 boxes of shelled pecan pieces at Atlanta, Ga., alleging that the article had been shipped in interstate commerce on or about January 14, 1940, by the Slocomb Peean Co. from Slocomb, Ala.; and charging that it was adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance. On March 28, 1941, .no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
