2217. Adulteration of blueberries. IT. S. v. 6 Crates of Blueberries. Default decree of condemnation and destruction. (F. D. C. No. 5289. Sample No. 74292-E.) On July 29, 1941, the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York filed a libel against 6 crates, each containing approximately 24 quarts, of blueberries at New York, N. Y., alleging that the article had been shipped on or about July 25, 1941, by N. Lasichak from Jermyn, Pa.; and charging that it was adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a filthy, putrid, or decom- posed vegetable substance. The article was labeled in part: (Cellophane cover on quart baskets) "Full Moon Quality Pennsylvania Blueberries." On September 10,1941, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
