2281. Adulteration of black walnut meats. U. S. v. 15 Cartons of Black Walnut Meats. Default decree of condemnation and destruction. (F. D. C. No. 4520. Sample No. 43347-E.) On April 28, 1941, the United States attorney for the Western District of Missouri filed a libel against 15 cartons, each containing 25 pounds, of walnut meats at Kansas City, Mo., alleging that the article had been shipped in interstate commerce on or about February 17,1941, by the Benton County Produce Co. from Rogers, Ark.; and charging that it was adulterated in that it consisted wholly or in part of a filthy substance. -1 On June 30,1941, no claimant having appeared, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
