3951. Adulteration of blueberries. U. S. v. 16 Grates and 113 Crates of BlueŽ berries. Default decree of condemnation and destruction. (F. D. C, No. 8222. Sample No. 17940-F.) On August 8, 1942, the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York filed a libel against. 16 crates, each containing 32 quarts, and 113 crates, each containing 24 quarts, of blueberries at New York N. -Y., alleging that the article had been shipped in interstate commerce on of about August 5, 1942, by Paul Salidago from Kelayres, Pa.; and ebargihg that it was adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of a'filthy, putrid, of decomposed vege- table- substance. The article was labeled in part: "Pennsylvania Green Moun- tain Brand Blueberries." On August 22, 1942j ho claimant having appeared, judgment of condemna- tion was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
