On May 28, 1943, the United States attorney for the Middle District of Georgia filed an information against B. Lloyd Woodall, trading as B. Lloyd's at Barnes- ville, Ga., alleging shipment within the period from on or about December 9, 1942, to February 5, 1943, from the State of Georgia into the State of South Carolina of a quantity of candy that was adulterated in that it consisted in whole or in part of filthy substances by reason of the presence in the food of rodent hair fragments, unidentified hair fragments, larvae and weevils, and insect fragments, and in that it had been prepared under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. The article was labeled in part: "B. Lloyd's Pecan Products Home Made.'' On September 27, 1943, the defendant having entered a plea of guilty, the court imposed a fine of $200.
