John B. Edgar and Joseph C. Roney, trading as Humphreys Mi11s, Memphis, 
Tenn.
ALLEGED SHIPMENT: From on or about June 21 to August 14, 1943, from the 
State of Tennessee into the State of Mississippi.
LABEL IN PART: "Snow White Cream [or "Home Ground"] Meal Mi11ed [or 
"Packed"] for King Grocery Co., of Mississippi" or "Ye11ow * * * Honey 
Suckle Cream Meal."
VIOLATIONS CHARGED: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted 
in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of rodent 
excreta fragments, rodent hairs, rodent hair fragments, hairs resembling rodent 
hairs, and insect fragments; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been prepared 
under insanitary conditions whereby it might have become contaminated with 
filth.
DISPOSITION: June 19, 1944. Pleas of guilty; each defendant fined $300 on 
each of 4 counts.
