LIBEL FILED : April 27,1944, Eastern District of Missouri. ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about July 10,1943, by the Pardeeville Canning Co., from Pardeeville, Wis. The product was shipped unlabeled. PRODUCT: 69 cases, each containing 24 cans, of peas, at St. Louis, Mo. VIOLATIONS CHARGED: Misbranding, Section 403 (e) (1), the article was food in package form and, when shipped, it failed to bear a label containing the name and place of business of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor; Section 403 (e) (2), it failed to bear an accurate statement of the quantity of the contents; and Section 403 (h) (1), it was below standard. DISPOSITION : July 20,1944. No claimant having appeared, judgment of condem- nation was entered and the product was ordered sold, in compliance with the law, by the United States marshal.
