ALLEGED SHIPMENT: From on or about November 12 to November 23, 1943, by the Becker Pretzel Bakeries, Inc., Baltimore, Md. PRODUCT; 24 cartons, each containing 12 1%-ounce packages, of pretzel straws and 2 cans, each containing 175 pretzel sticks, at Cleveland, Ohio, and 999' 7-pound cartons of pretzel straws at Cincinnati, Ohio. T LABEL, IN PART: (Packages) "Becker's Pretzel Straws," (cans) "Becker's Pet-so Pretzels Giant Sticks," and (999 cartons) "Becker's Crisp Tender De- licious Pretzels Pretzel Straws." VIOLATIONS CHARGED: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the articles consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of insect fragments, rodent hair fragments, and fragments resembling rodent hairs; and, Section 402 (a) (4), they had been prepared under insanitary conditions whereby they might have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION: February 12 and May 25, 1944. No claimant having appeared, judgments of condemnation were entered and the products were ordered destroyed. CORN MEAL
