LIBEL FILED : On or about November 13,1944, Southern District of Mississippi. ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about August 10, 1943, by the Okeena Canning Co., from Dyersburg, Tenn. PRODUCT: 384 eases, each containing 6 No. 10 cans, of spinach at Gulfport, Miss. Examination showed that the product consisted in part of a sour, decomposed product, contaminated with viable micro-organisms, and that it was undergoing active spoilage. LABEL IN PART: (Cans) "Okeena Club Spinach." 'VIOLATION CHARGED: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance. DISPOSITION: March 1, 1944. No claimant having appeared, judgment of con- demnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed. DRIED VEGETABLES
