PRODUCT: 160 bags, each containing approximately 100 pounds, of peppers at Baltimore, Md. VIOLATION CHARGED: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy and decomposed substance by reason of the presence of rodent-excreta and moldy peppers. DISPOSITION : May 29, 1944. McCormick & Co., Inc., Baltimore, Md., claimant, having admitted the allegations in the libel, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond to be brought into compliance with the law under the supervision of the Food and Drug Ad- ministration. The unfit portion was segregated and destroyed.
