PRODUCT: 33 200-pound bags of whole nutmegs at Cincinnati,. Ohio. LABEL IN PART: (Bags) "SC AND Product of British West Indies." VIOLATION CHARGED: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of insect- infested nutmegs. ;¦ lr DISPOSITION: March 13, 1944. The Frank Tea & Spice; Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, claimant, having admitted the facts fn the libel, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond, conditioned, that the unfit portion be segregated and destroyed under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration. On March 22, ,1944, an amended, decree was entered, ordering the distillation of the product into nutmeg oil, and the destruction of the residue, under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration.
