PRODUCT: 30 cases, each containing 30 pounds, of raisins at St. Louis, Mo. LABEL IN PART: (Cases) "Mission Brand Raisins Choice Thompson Seedless." VIOLATION CHARGED: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of weevils, larvae, and insect fragments. DISPOSITION: October 11, 1944. The St. Louis Bakers' Cooperative Associa- tion having admitted the allegations of the libel, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond, the good portion to be converted into distilled spirits under the supervision of the Alcohol Tax Unit and the Food and Drug Administration, and the unfit portion to be destroyed or denatured for non-human consumption.
