PRODUCT: 107 cases, each containing 6 jars, of sirup at Clovis, N. Mex. LABEL, IN PART : "Home-Made Sugar Cane Syrup and Corn Syrup Blend." VIOLATION CHARGED: Misbranding, Section 403 (e) (2), the product was a food in package form, and it failed to bear a label containing an accurate statement of the quantity of contents since the jars contained less than the weight declared on the labels: "1 Quart, 1 Pint, 10% Fluid Ounces." DISPOSITION : January 19, 1945. T. J. Blackburn Syrup Works, Jefferson, Tex-., having appeared as claimant, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond for relabeling under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration.
