PRODUCT: 294 100-pound bags of flour at San Francisco, Calif. LABEL IN PART : "Upright Pure Bluestem Bakers Patent Flour Bleached." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of beetles, larvae, and insect excreta. DISPOSITION: March 14, 1945. The Coast Dakota Flour Co., claimant, having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment was entered ordering the product released under bond" to be brought into compliance with the law, under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration.
