ALLEGED SHIPMENT :   On or about April 22, 1945, by the Vendors Consolidating 
Co., Inc., from Jersey City, N. J.
PRODUCT: 7,695 cartons each containing 24 candy bars at Oakland, Calif. Ex- 
amination of this product showed that it was fermenting.
LABEL IN PART : "Chocolate Covered Peanut Bar * * * Made by Leading 
Candy Co.   New York."
NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in 
whole or in part of a decomposed substance.
DISPOSITION: August 29, 1945. No claimant having appeared, judgment of 
condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
