LIBELS FILED : On or about August 13, 1945, Southern District of Alabama. pound bags of self-rising flour, and 254 10-pound bags and 121 25-pound bags of phosphated flour at Mobile, Ala., in possession of the Merchants Supply Company. The product was stored under insanitary conditions after shipment. Some of the bags were rodent-gnawed, and rodent excreta and urine stains were observed on them. Examination showed that the flour contained weevils and larvae. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the articles consisted in whole or in part of filthy substances; and, Section 402 (a) (4), they had been held under insanitary conditions whereby they may have become con- taminated with filth. DISPOSITION: October 29, 1945. No claimant having appeared, judgments of condemnation were entered and the products were ordered delivered to a public institution, for use as stock feed.
