ALLEGED SHIPMENT:   On or about August 26, 1946, by David G. Evans, from
St. Louis, Mo. 
PRODUCT:   1   145-pound barrel and 1   100-pound bag of spice at Newark, N. J.
The article was invoiced as ground nutmeg. 
NATURE OF CHARGE:   Adulteration, Section 402 (b) (2),.ground star anise seed
had been substituted for ground nutmeg, which the article was represented
to be.
Misbranding, Section 403 (b), the article was oflEered for sale under the
name of another food, ground nutmeg. 
DISPOSITION:    February 10, 1947.   No claimant having appeared, judgment of
condemnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
