INFORMATION FILED: November 11, 1946, Eastern District of Kentucky, against the Merchants Creamery Co., trading as the Stanford Creamery Co., Stanford, Ky. ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about April 30 and May 7, 1946, from the State of Kentucky into the State of Ohio. in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of rodent hair fragments, feather barbules, hairs resembling rodent hairs, and dirt; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been prepared under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION : April 28, 1947. A plea of guilty having been entered on behalf of the defendant, the court imposed a fine of $250 and costs on count 1 and $1,000 on count 2. The $1,000 fine was suspended, conditioned that the defend- ant corporation's plant be made sanitary immediately, and that the defendant cooperate with the Food and Drug Administration to avoid violations of the law for a period of 12 months.
