PRODUCT: Corn meal. 1,346 5-pound bags, 468 10-pound bags, 49 25-pound bags, and 11 100-pound bags at Louisville, Ky. LABEL IN PART : "Ballard Cream Corn Meal." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of rodent excreta fragments. DISPOSITION : January 8, 1948. Ballard & Ballard Co., Louisville, Ky., claimant, having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was entered ordering the product released under bond to be converted into stock feed, under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration.
