NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (b) (1), a valuable constituent, thiamine (vitamin Bi), had been in part omitted from the article. Misbranding, Section 403 (g) (1), the article failed to conform to the defi- nition and standard of identity for enriched flour, since it contained less than 2.0 milligrams of thiamine (vitamin Bi) per pound, the minimum permitted by the definition and standard. DISPOSITION : January 14,1948. Default decree of condemnation. The product was ordered delivered to a charitable institution.
