ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about June 21, 1947, by the Supreme Dairy Products Co., from Macomb, Ill. PRODUCT: 154 boxes, each containing approximately 70 pounds, of Cheddar cheese at Curwensville, Pa. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of insect frag- ments and manure fragments, and by reason of the use of filthy milk in its preparation; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been prepared under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION : March 12,1948. Default decree of condemnation and destruction. The Supreme Dairy Products Co., Macomb, Ill., having appeared as claimant, but subsequently having withdrawn its claim and answer, judgment of con- demnation was entered and the product was ordered destroyed.
