PRODUCT: 8 cartons, each containing 12 2-pound tins, of fruit cake and 3 cartons, each containing 12 12-ounce tins, of cookies at New York, N. Y. LABEL IN PART: "A B C Rum and Brandy Fruit Cake [or "Chocolate Fudge Tarties"]." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the products consisted in whole or in part of filthy substances by reason of the presence of insects, insect fragments, and rodent hair fragments; and, Section 402 (a) (4), they had been prepared under insanitary conditions whereby they may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION : January 7,1948. Default decree of condemnation and destruction.
