INFORMATION FILED: March 12, 1948, Northern District of Illinois, against the Sisco-Hamilton Co., a corporation, Chicago, Ill., and Peter Sisco and Albert Sisco, president and secretary-treasurer, respectively. ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about August 26 and September 2, 3, and 5, 1947, from the State of Illinois into the States of Kentucky, Washington, and Virginia. LABEL IN PART : "Sisco's The Sisco Kid Net Weight 1% Oz." NATURE OF CHARGE : Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of insects and insect parts; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been prepared and packed under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. Misbranding, Section 403 (e) (2), the product failed to bear a label con- taining an accurate statement of the quantity of the contents. (The product was short-weight.) DISPOSITION : April 13, 1948. Pleas of guilty having been entered on behalf of the defendants, a fine of $750, together with costs, was imposed against the defendants jointly.
