NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (b) (2), a substance consisting essentially of a mixture of salt, starch, and pepper had been substituted for black pepper. Misbranding, Section 403 (a), the label statement "Black Pepper" was false and misleading. DISPOSITION: May 12, 1948. A plea of guilty having been entered, the court imposed a fine of $100.
