LABEL IN PART: "Absorbex M for Whole Milk, Skim Milk, Buttermilk and Whey for Human Consumption." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (2), the product contained an added poisonous and deleterious substance, a boron compound, which is unsafe within the meaning of the law since it is a substance not required in the production of the food and could have been avoided by good manu- facturing practice. DISPOSITION: July 36. 1948. Default decree of condemnation and destruc- tion.
