ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about June 3,1948, from Black Rock, N. Y. PRODUCT: 172 100-pound bags of flour at Norwieh, Conn., in possession of the Yantic Grain & Products Co. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of rodent urine; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been held under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. The product was adulter- ated while held for sale after shipment in interstate commerce. DISPOSITION : September 30, 1948. - The Yantic Grain & Products Co., claimant, having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was en- tered and the product was ordered released under bond for segregation of the contaminated portion, under the supervision of the Federal Security Agency. Of the seized goods, 86 bags were released as fit and the remaining 86 bags were denatured and disposed of for use as animal feed.
