ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about May 6, 1948, by the Crestline Co., from Chi- cago, Ill. PRODUCT: 5 cases, each containing 24 bottles, of Crest-A-Min at Cincinnati, Ohio. Examination showed that the product was an orange-colored powder, flavored with oil of orange and containing organic matter and minerals. Each y2 ounce contained 189 milligrams of calcium and 187 milligrams of phosphorus. LABEL IN PART: "Crest-A-Min A Food Supplement * * * y2 oz. Crest- line contains * * * calcium 375 milligrams * * * phosphorus 375 milligrams * * * Net Weight 12 oz." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (b) (1), valuable constituents, calcium and phosphorus, had been in part omitted from the article. Misbranding, Section 403 (a), the label statements "Each % oz. con- tains * * * calcium 375 milligrams * * * phosphorus 375 milli- grams" were false and misleading. DISPOSITION : August 11,1948.
