ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about December 2, 1948, by Quaker City Flour Mills, Inc., from Hampstead, Md. PRODUCT: 700 100-pound bags of Matzoh flour at Long Island City, N. Y. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of larvae, insect fragments, and rodent hair fragments; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been prepared under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contami- nated with filth. DISPOSITION : March 10, 1949. Quaker City Flour Mills, Inc., Hampstead, Md., claimant, having admitted the allegations of the libel, judgment of condem- nation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond to be denatured, under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration, by the addition of fish meal, so that it could not be disposed of for human consumption.
