" I LABEL IN PART : "First National Stores Somerville, Mass." j NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy, putrid, or decomposed substance. (Examination showed that the product contained insect heads, insect fragments, rodent hair fragments, and manure fragments, and that it had been made from filthy cream.) Further adulteration, Section 402 (a) (4), the product was prepared, packed, or held under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION : February 9, 1949. First National Stores, Inc., claimant, having admitted the allegations of the libel, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond, conditioned that it be used for the manufacture of soap, under the supervision of the Federal Security Agency.
