ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about March 3, 1947, from San Ysidro, Calif. PRODUCT: 217 150-pound bags of chili peppers at St. Louis, Mo. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in whole or in part of a decomposed substance by reason of the presence of mold. The article was adulterated while held for sale after shipment in interstate commerce. DISPOSITION : September 13,1948. Thomas P. Gonzalez, doing business as Gon- zalez & Blanco, Los Angeles, Calif., claimant, having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was or- dered released under bond, to be brought into compliance with the law, under the supervision of the Federal Security Agency. The product was sorted, with f the result that 11,135 pounds of the 32,077 pounds seized were found to be unfit.
