ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about August 14,19, and 30, and September 30, 1948, by the Skrmetta Seafood Co., from New Orleans, La. PRODUCT: 50 cases, each containing 48 5-ounce cans, of shrimp at New York, N. Y. LABEL IN PART: "Sea Treasure Brand Shrimp.'' NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration. Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in whole or in part of a decomposed substance by reason of the presence of decomposed shrimp. DISPOSITION: December 13, 1948. Gristede Brothers, Inc., New York, N. Y., claimant, having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond for segregation of the fit from the unfit portion, under the supervision of the Federal Security Agency. A total of 587 cans were segregated as unfit and were subsequently destroyed.
