ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about September 17 and 27, 1948, by Wm. A. Hig- 
gins & Co., Inc., from New York, N. Y.
PRODUCT: Brazil nuts. 64 bags, each containing 100 pounds, at Charlotte, 
N. C. and 49 bags., each containing 40 pounds, at Lexington, Ky.
LABEL IN PART :    "Brazil Nuts   Holly Brand."
NATURE OF CHARGE : Adulteration. Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in 
whole or in part of a decomposed substance by reason of the presence of 
decomposed and rancid nuts.
DISPOSITION: November 23, 194S, and February 10, 1949. Default decrees 
of condemnation. The product was ordered delivered to charitable institu- 
tions, conditioned that the nuts be cracked and that the unfit be destroyed.
