ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about September 24, 1948, by the Beatrice Foods Co., from Louisville, Ky. PRODUCT: 1,000 cases, each containing 32 1-pound prints, of butter at Worcester, Mass. LABEL IN PART: ''Holland Brand Creamery Butter [or "Meadow Gold Butter"'] Distributed by Beatrice Foods Co.," and "Blue Valley Butter Distributed by Beatrice Foods Co. [or "Blue Valley Creamery"]." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of insects, insect parts and fragments, rat or mice hairs, and the fact that the cream from which it was prepared was filthy. DISPOSITION : December 9, 1948. The Beatrice Foods Co., claimant, having con- seated to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond for use in the manufacture of soap, under the supervision of the Federal Security Agency.
