ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about December 16,1948, from Abilene, Tex. held under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. The product was adulterated while held for sale after shipment in interstate commerce. DISPOSITION : May 27,1949. The Chase Candy Co. having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was entered. The court ordered that the product be released under bond for the salvaging of the good portion, under the supervision of the Federal Security Agency. A total of 13 bags were segre- gated as fit for human consumption, and the remainder of the product was denatured for use as animal feed.
