ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about December 28,1948, by L. C. Mays Co., Inc., from New Orleans, La. PRODUCT: 249 cases, each containing 48 5-ounce cans, of shrimp at Brooklyn, N. Y. LABEL IN PART : "Blue Gulf Brand Small Shrimp." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a decomposed substance by reason of the presence of decomposed shrimp. DISPOSITION : April 25, 1949. L. O. Mays Co., Inc., claimant, having admitted the allegations of the libel, judgment of condemnation was entered and the product was ordered released under bond for segregation of the fit from the unfit portion, under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration.
