ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about May 28 and July 11, 1949, from Indianapolis, Ind., by the Dextora Co. PRODUCT: 36 25-pound cans and 51 10-pound cans of malted milk powder at Chicago, Ill. LABEL IN PART : "Finest Quality Malted Milk Gold Prize Dist. by Gold Prize Coffee Company, Chicago." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402(a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of rodent hair fragments; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been prepared under insanitary con- ditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION : November 10, 1949. Default decree of condemnation. The court ordered that the product be delivered to a public institution, for use as animal feed.
