ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about October 12 and 24, 1949, by Elam Mills, Inc., from Chicago, Ill. PRODUCT: 42 cases, each containing 12 2-pound bags, of corn meal at Detroit, Mich. LABEL IN PART: "Elam's Stone Ground * * * Yellow Corn Meal." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of rodent excreta. DISPOSITION : December 13, 1949. Default decree of condemnation. The court ordered that the product be delivered to a Federal institution, for use as ani- mal feed.
